The Musiqueiros server was a discord server active between 2021 and 2024 of which it also acted as a music/multimedia artist collective.
Originally titled “Music Heaven”, the server's creation date was lost in time, but in 2021 it already had its first archived messages. What was initially just a friends group at the time, became an open server with a larger focus on the brazilian RateYourMusic community and a rapid growth, for discussing about music and artists of which anyone could join and interact, and also share their own creations.
And from there on, between some games and monthly reviews that the first mixtape came about, of which anyone who was part of the server could send their own songs to participate, of which it had a successful listening party and the participation of a big artist at the time on the opening track (sonhos tomam conta), of which it made more people find out about the server.
And since that first mixtape, there was an increased ammount of events and contributions not only for the future mixtapes but also for creations that came and were parallel from the server like listening parties for various albuns, acknowledgement inside RYM itself not only by brazilian users but also people overseas, and notorious artists joining in such as Parannoul, Asian Glow, Astrophysics, MINTTT and members from bands like Freiya and Violeta.
The server had its decline between mid 2023 and the last months of 2024 of which it was active, due to its constant inactivity, a server-security system that became increasingly tighter, and an absurd quantity of beefs coming all the way from disagreements inside the server to former members that had strong ties to the server starting beef with other twitter bubbles causing more beef to get pushed directly into the server.
And so, after months and months of unexistent activity inside the server, the server was deleted without warning.
Currently, various former members of the server are still active in other groups and projects, as well as some are still creating, whether musically or not.
The last mixtape that came from the server was posted on Bandcamp on the 9th of august 2024, of which unlike the others it is not available on other streaming services and it only consists of covers and remixes/reimagined versions of songs by other artists.
